Cam
and Mercedes Beert, of Bettendorf, Iowa were inducted
into the "USCHI Hall of Fame."
Cam and
Mercedes have been staunch supporters of U.S. Custom
Harvesters since its inception in 1983. They always
attend the USCHI meetings with a smile, a hug, a camera
and a wealth of knowledge.
Cam has
had more than 50 years of experience with combines
since International Harvester and Case Corporation
in 1947 employed him. He began his career as a packer
and welder moving on into test engineering. Cam has
traveled extensively worldwide for Case during these
years. He has not always spoken the language but if
needed, has drawn pictures in the dirt to explain
how to run a combine.
Cam and
Merc enjoy visiting many friends as they travel across
the country going to and from farm shows, conventions
and meetings. They enjoy seeing old friends and making
new ones as they travel. Even after his retirement
in 1989, Cam has continued to work on a contractual
basis for the past ten years. His 50 years of experience
have made him a priceless resource to dealers and
custom harvesters. He's on call anytime to provide
necessary support. It's this personal commitment to
the company and the Axial-Flow combine that customers
respect. "It's not just a job; it's their dedication."
We are
truly happy to induct both Camiel and Mercedes into
the "USCHI Hall of Fame." |
