ok I will talk with CPA
in about 4 years a go I was also working for a home privet company in the construction business
running bulldozers and back hoes and I was with them for 9 months and got paid once a week by a hand written company check and signed as contract labor and I went to work force employment office and showed them the copies of the checks and I explain to the case worker that I am not a contract labor worker
and the case worker had told me if the company provided any equipment to use for the job or jobs ,tells you how to do your job, tells you when to do it, tells you when you can have time off or not , provide's everything that a person needs to do a job to there crew or persons Who is not the owner nor a boss is not contract at any way shape or form just labor worker and when I had told the employment office that I did not get any tax forms nor paid any taxes and the employment office had turned in the contractor who owns his business and he was shut down for like 2 months and had to pay all labor workers taxes and get Legal by being a small business owner and Tax number got'en a $75000.00 fine and I dont want to turn the harvester that who I had worked for in 2008 season

I have a Question here.....

I am a 32 year old man who had worked for a harvester based
in the North Eastern State of Nebraska in 2008 Grain Harvest
and when they had found me running an ad that I was looking seeking for a job on a crew on a Harvest .... they told me go ahead and meet with them down in Texas and I did and I was hired right off the spot , as a combine driver for a harvester that run's 5 combines and I was never asked to fill nor sign any type of any forms nor Tax form and S.S card wise and they told me after the season was over were done and so I asked them what do I do to get and fill out any tax forms for the 2008 ... they had told me NO taxes was took'en out because they told me I was Contract Labor .. so why am I asking this question is because I worked for another harvester.... season work in 2007 and they had with held taxes so what is the difference ? and they only had 2 combines ..... all I am is a person who was seeking for work in 2008 harvest run and NO with holds of any kind of taxes
is this wrongfully

Hello
My Name is Ed Cope I am looking to hook up with a harvest crew for the 2009 grain/wheat harvest season.

Luke Stevens and myself are Ag majors at Mizzou, both come from a family farm row-crop operation having run the Combine, Cart and Semi’s during harvest season.

Luke is 20 and has his CDL. I am 21 and am going to get mine very soon.

We could be able to start about the first of June and run until mid August when we would have to come back to school. I know this is in the peak of harvest season but we have been wanting to do this for awhile and would appreciate any help in finding a crew to run with.

You can e-mail me with any questions or information at eecck4@mizzou.edu

Thanks for your help!

Ed Cope

I think the organization should put us harvesters in contact with some publications for workers in the unemployment sections of the country, especialy truckers.I think this could be a good opertunity for our industry to help our country maybe earn some respect from the govt by putting some people in need to work when other more mainstream industries cant.
